Text of Complaint by Sourav Das:

I have Purchased the Jio fiber Prepaid Connection on 24-11-2021. Everything was going fine.
But on 25-02-2022, I received a call from a Jio fiber executive (Tanmoy Pal). He told me that my router needs to be updated to version 3. In that process, if I pay for 6 months’ recharge, I will get one month extra that is a total of 7 months of benefit and 500 rupees cashback. Also he promised me that the recharge that I have already paid for the period of 22-02-2022 to 24-03-2022 on my prepaid connection, would be continued or added on and no extra money would be charged.
Thinking that it was a good option to update the router, I agreed and he came to my house on 26-02-2022 and did all the necessary documentation. Everything was gone right.
But in the evening of 26-02-2022 after the engineer visited and changed the router, I was shocked and found that I was sold another jio fiber connection and that too a Postpaid one. Also found that the recharge of the previous connection did not add on to this number which he had promised and the 500 rupees cashback which he was talking about is nothing but the Security deposit of my earlier prepaid connection.
Founding that this is totally a case of misinformation, misleading people and fraud; I raised a complaint on customer care with Service request number : SR00001914EB. Where they promised me to cancel the new postpaid connection by 05-03-2022 and a refund, But It will not be a full refund.
Now it’s more than 1.5 months since my device pickup and I didn’t get a single penny. Every time I mail or call in the customer care, they tell that they are working on the problem.
I lost all my money and valuable time too.
Later talking with other people and searching on the internet, I found that this is a common case here. Then I realised that maybe this is the Jio’s strategy or policy to sell their postpaid connection by cheating with customers.
