The website of Jio says that after the end of recharge, 180 days of tariff validity is available in which the consumer can use the mobile number for incoming facility. But Jio discontinued my number within a week of end of my numbers’ recharge expiration (I have recharge for Rs. 209 for 28 days on 7/11/2023, which clearly says 180 days of tariff validity. Even if I’m unable to make outgoing calls once the recharge of 28 days expired, I should have been able to get incoming calls and SMS including OTPs for crucial services, but Jio abruptly discontinued my number making me unable to receive important calls and SMS. The Loss incurred due to this unwarned disconnection should be reimbursed by Jio.
