Text of Complaint by Venkata Sriram Chaitanya Puvvada:

I have purchased a VU Android TV from Flipkart on September 9, 2018. During the Installation of TV a Jeeves Technician insisted to buy the Extended warranty for 3 years worth 3570 Rupees.

I have purchased as per his advice and everything was fine until April 2021, when the TV started showing some panel issues (weird lines on screen). When I initially requested for Service, Jeeves Technician visited and said it will be gone and for some days issue disappeared only to show up again from June 2021. This time I recorded the issue and took pictures to raise the issue to Jeeves on June 26, 2021.

On June 29, 2021 Jeeves Technician picked up TV for service and on July 17, 2021 and this time the line issue was gone but the TV lost the color re-production and I was gifted with damages on Screen. So, I have raised again to Jeeves about it and Luckily the Jeeves Technician agreed the mistake about the new issue and arranged 2nd pickup on July 19th 2021 for service at another location and this time no update or new about TV status and I only got the TV back from service on August 6, 2021.

This time they started playing, started new game that TV will be repaired and I need to wait. But I started talking about the warranty policy that if the TV is unable to be repaired within 30-25 days they should either replace the TV or refund. When I put some pressure on them, they spoke to my wife very rudely(my wife has handled all the talking part with Jeeves).

They said only 15% refund will be processed. When I dropped like 18 emails to escalate they are only giving me 70% and I asked my wife to call them and push for full refund as per the warranty.

Till today (10 August 2021) it has been more than 45 days and I haven’t got any final resolution on the issue.

They are deliberately extending this without resolution as my warranty period will end in September 2021 and they no need to do anything from their end.
