Text of Complaint by Deepayan Banerjee:

My father, Mr Debasish Banerjee had purchased a Sansui 109 cm (43 inch) Ultra HD (4K) LED Smart Android TV with Dolby Audio and DTS (Mystique Black) (JSW43ASUHD) from Flipkart on 16/08/2023, with order ID OD328905584373863100. It had a covered 3-year warranty with Jeeves. The TV started malfunctioning from 06/10/2023 in which half of the screen display was damaged and black with flickering visuals. That same day I lodged a repair/replace request with Jeeves and they said that they would be taking care of the matter. A few days later, one technician visited and took many photos of the screen along with serial numbers etc. He said that the display panel needs to be replaced and he placed an order directly. Following this, 2 weeks have passed and nothing happened. There were only update messages from Jeeves postponing the date of repair by a week each time. When I called their assigned technicians number, they mentioned that the persons assigned were on holidays and he cannot come to repair. On calling the customer support, they assigned a different technician who came and did the same thing the first technician did- just took photos and said that the panel needs to be replaced. Then again everything went quiet. It had already been around a month with our TV not being repaired by Jeeves and its associates. Few days back, again when I called up Jeeves customer support and asked, they said that they would either refund me the money or replace the entire TV set, now mentioning another (later) date. Controlling my patience thus and keeping up with this nuisance, I called Jeeves again on November 6, and the support executive mentioned that the display panel will be delivered on Monday and a service person would be assigned after that. Today being 10th and me not receiving any communication from Jeeves as expected, I called up customer support a few minutes back with the same guy answering (he calls him Shubham) to take an update about the panel. He said that my service request has been closed stating that my problem has been resolved! He mentioned that this was a fault and he is registering a new complaint about this. I mean, is this a joke!!

This is kind of a mental harassment along with services not offered. Enough being said and done, I have lodged a police complaint along with all digital evidence and also contacted the responsible Government Authorities who, I’m sure will be getting in touch with you very soon.

I thought bringing this to your notice might resolve my problem which has been quite long-stuck. I hope you can understand my point-of-view and take immediate necessary steps about your technical and customer support team. You can always contact me via phone or email for any further information. This is really not something I was expecting from Flipkart/Jeeves!
