Dear Team,

I have been an Airtel customer from 2007. Presently I am using the following facilities provided by Airtel:
Postpaid connection- 9903372747
Airtel Digital Tv – customer id – 3017641091
I work for a multinational company and due to the current covid situation, I am working from home. Naturally there was a requirement for a high-speed broadband internet connection.
Considering my association with your company, I decided to opt for the highspeed fiber net internet connection at my home. I applied through the airtel mobile app. Within a day or two a sales representative (Mr Arindam: 9163638699) visited my residence. He informed me that unfortunately there was no feasibility of fiber net connection at my locality so instead he suggested that I opt for the normal broadband connection (I think he referred to a copper box related connection or something).
I explained my urgency to Mr Arindam and also mentioned that I would opt for the connection if it can be set up within three to 4 days. He ensured that he will take every possible step for that. I instantly paid around Rs 2800 (approx) for three months (as there was no airtel mobile connection in kolkata at that time, I used my mother’s mobile number to register a request for the connection, 6292125705).
After waiting for 4 days without any kind of contact from the company, I tried to get in touch with Arindam to explain my situation. However, he has been either disconnecting my calls or ignoring them consistently. He has not been kind enough to respond to my texts either. Clearly, it seems that one customer dosent even matter to Airtel or its sales representatives. As the target has been achieved the customer can wait till eternity.
The issue is not of money or the connection being set up quickly. The issue is the ethical standards that are being set by the company. One customer may not matter to a big company like Airtel, but time and commitment is extremely valuable to me.
Please note, I will not be continuing with my mobile postpaid and airtel digital tv services.
Again, it may not matter to Airtel. But I will ensure that me or people around me stay away from these kind of sufferings.
