With respect to the above mentioned complaint number I still didn’t get possible answer from your end.
I had requested for postpaid to prepaid connection to my mob number 9035146461 on 27th October 2018 .
I had clearly mentioned the reason for converting to prepaid that I will be traveling to abroad on 28th Oct 2018 based on my request airtel customer representative gave me new SIM card and told me to use this after reaching abroad .I also recharged INR 230 as I want to keep my sim active during my stay in abroad .
When I replaced the new Airtel SIM card in my handset and searched for network I couldn’t able to connect to the network. I waited for couple of days then again I had called to customer care on Saturday ( 03 November 2018) again I was told to recharge INR 99 as I didn’t activated international roaming plan I did that but still it dint worked.
Couple of hours later again I called to Airtel customer care then I was told to recharge For INR 145 as my main balance is less than 100 and my sim will not be activated but still it didn’t worked.
Insipte all of these today (05 November 2018) I got a call from the Airtel customer representative to understand the problem and he told me that it’s not possible to convert postpaid to prepaid after leaving India . I really don’t understand this . It’s not fair ..
I clearly told them that I need this number active to receive the SMS as my financial things are completely dependent on this number now I am completely blocked and not able to do any bank transactions .
Do you have an answer for this ?? If you guys don’t know to do please don’t mislead the people in false way and also this you could have told me before I did all the recharges to the Airtel . I was with Airtel connection for more than an year an I paid my bills . Is this the way u treat to your customer.
I cannot wait more I need my number to get activated I really don’t want to listen to any excuses please .
Note: I have Also requested to your customer representative that in my absence can anyone of my friends or family member can buy the SIM card in airtel relationship centre India so that I will co ordinate with them for the OTP and other stuff .
Please let me know if you can help me in this regards or please activate my number .
Currently I live in Germany .
