This is in regards to my last bill which got generated on 12th August of INR 8285.96. In this bill, I had taken an International plan of 90 days for country Russia for INR 5,999 with 18% GST and from 6th August onwards, the plan has completely stopped working.
By completely stopped working, I mean not a single call coming, only missed calls SMS were coming and when I tried to call on missed call numbers, the calls didn’t reach due to network issue. On top of this, I noticed that from 8th August onwards, there was NO network at all on my phone. The network which Airtel had tie-up for International Roaming was with Russian local network Beeline. I tried another phone too for getting network like Nokia (again No Network), then iPhone (No Network) at last Philips (No Network). Also, changed places so may be location issue but it didn’t work. I am not able to see any network connection on my Airtel number while the plan and raoming is active on it. This means I am only being charged for the plan in which I am not able to make calls, not able to receive calls and surprisingly even NO NETWORK. I have been able to use only 10 mins of Outgoing & 20 mins of Incoming calls. That’s all out of 300 mins each for outgoing & incoming plan!!!
This poor service has put my work into difficultly as I took the plan of 90 days so that during my stay in Russia, I am able to manage my work. Just for the information, I am residing in capital city Moscow, where I expect the network to be there 100%. Due to this, all calls I have to take are through WhatsApp.
After all this, I have realised that this International was a sham and was never meant to work in Russia. I am not going to entertain the recent bill of INR 8285.96. I will only pay for my monthly plan of INR 999 + 18% tax.
