I had installed an app called Quick Money. They said they would provide a loan for a short period of time. So to try it, I asked for 15000. They sent only Rs. 9000. and said 6000 (divided among 3 providers at 2000 each were charges). I disputed the same. Today they sent me a repayment messages which were very offensive and then started threatening me that they would target my contact list with nudes and other explicit images in case I did not pay them. I have since checked online – seems like this is a common modus operandi being followed – and the numbers they have contacted me from are Pakistani and Nigerian. This looks like a scam and I am worried they will harm my reputation by sending morphed pictures and videos to others. Please assist.
