I am writing to urgently report a serious security breach that I have encountered with my Instagram account, @seekingthelight13_ . My account has been hacked by unauthorized individuals who have taken control by changing the associated email and contact details without my consent. As a result, I have lost complete access to my account, and my personal information is now at risk.
The incident occurred on 2 August 2023, when I noticed unusual activity on my account. I attempted to log in, only to find that the login credentials, including the email address and phone number, had been altered. Unfortunately, the perpetrator has also changed my account’s password, rendering me helpless in my attempts to regain access.
I have taken the following steps in response to the hacking incident:
I immediately attempted to recover my account using the “Get help signing in” option, but the hacker had replaced the email and phone number, making it impossible for me to receive any verification codes.In the meantime, I have taken precautionary measures by securing my other online accounts with unique and strong passwords to prevent any further security breaches.
I have attempted to reach out to Instagram support through the app, but I haven’t received any response or assistance to address this urgent matter.I am deeply concerned about the misuse of my Instagram account, which could potentially lead to identity theft, fraudulent activities, or reputational damage.
