Subject: Undue harassment by Bajaj Housing Finance Limited by illegally charging 85579 rupees.
Dear Sir,
Need your intervention in the below case of Bajaj Housing Finance Limited charging INR 85579 towards bouncing of emi, which is solely due to their own fault.
The issue happened due to the fact that Bajaj Housing Finance Limited unduly charged by bank account before disbursing the loan amount to me. I then mentioned to their agent about this and asked my bank not to agree to the withdrawal as the loan amount was not even deposited in my account. My bank then blocked Bajaj Housing Finance Limited from withdrawing and since once the account is blocked it cannot be unblocked, I asked the bajaj person if this was an issue. The agent mentioned that it was not an issue and that the bounce charges if any will be refunded back subsequently. Initially, this did happen and the waiver was provided. There was nothing I could do to unblock the EMI as Citibank does not roll back once the account is blocked. The bajaj agents were cognizant of this fact and reversed the charges until now when they again put up the entire bounce back charges.
This is totally uncalled for as I had been paying the EMI amount in advance and had not missed any EMI.
I have even provided Bajaj Housing Fiance Limited with the actual conversation snapshot with their agent agreeing on the waiver. The waiver was accepted and these unnecessary charges were ignored, however, until a couple of months back, when they again penalized me for the entire period! [despite the fact that they were at fault!!]
I request you to please direct Bajaj Housing Finance Limited to refund the charges and also waive the charges which they are planning to deduct.
Since I have been paying back the loan on time, the procedural charges [which were because of them] are totally uncalled for. INR 85579 is a huge amount for me and I need your help to have this resolved.
