Text of Complaint by Nafih:

Sir,

I have opened a free zero balance savings account in Indusind bank through online after frequent calls received from their service representatives inwhich they forced me to open an account offering many benefits.  For opening the account I filled all my personal details and uploaded all my personal documents and submitted to the bank online for ekyc which they asked me to do so. They were told me that you shouldnot have to visit the branch at any instance to submit hard copies of documents where it all are done through online ekyc. They forced me to deposit an amount of Rs.1000  and I waited for days to get a welcome kit from the bank. At the same time by mistake my trading broker also deposited another 1000 rupees to the same account and it also got stuck there as I didnt received any confirmation from the part of Indusind bank regarding account activation. I called customer care repeatedly and they asked me to keep waiting to recieve a welcome kit from bank by post. After many days of waiting the postman called and asked me whether I  have opened any account in Indusind bank. He came to me and told that he was going to return the postal as because of wrong address. And he called me after seeing the phone number on it and delivered the postal only because he knows me personally.

The Name and Communication address was wrongly typed. When I opened the welcome kit there also I could see a wrong name and address, but the phone number and account number is same as which they intimated me through sms and phonecalls. I called the customer care and they asked me to lodge a complaint through email. I have send many written complaints stating this via mail to the bank in the proper way as per their instructions. Still there were no any response from their part. Again I called the customer care for knowing the status of my complaint but they insulted and abused me instead of trying to solve my problem. Then I waited morethan a week for their formal reply. After keep waiting me now they send a mail stating that my kyc is not updated and for that I have to visit the bank branch. So, I again called the customer care and they told me to visit the branch for any corrections though it is their mistake and they couldnot do anything without me visiting the branch with proper documents. I felt this as a kind of fraud from the part of Indusind bank by deliberately updating wrong informations of customers  inorder to send them to the branch for physical verification. I opened an account in Indusind bank only because they ensured me about online ekyc where I dont want to visit the branch for any purpose. Now even for closing this account I have to visit the branch and also I have to pay more than 200 rupees as a closure charge. The bank branch is located far away which is morethan 6 km from me. They have activated debit card also but didnt even send me the  password details because of which I couldnt use even netbanking till this day. I lost not only my time but also my money just by opening an account in this bank. I am going to claim a compensation from Indusind bank for all my loss and for taking my personal informations fraudulently.

Now I want to close my Indusind savings account(My bank account No. 159656328801) without visiting the branch as like how I opened the account online. Also, Please advice me for further steps to move against this Bank if they are not responding or finding a solution for this complaint .
