On 4th of June I payed Rs.31,718 for 2 tickets Chennai – Colombo – Chennai with my Visa debit card, but the system told me that an error occurred. The amount was taken from my card but no ticket was issued. Today, 11 days after, finally I got the refund.
I took another ticket with another company, of course, but what if I had only that amount on my card and I had to travel the day after? I understand that those problems can happen sometimes, but the refund must be immediate! Same thing happened to me once with Amazon, for example, but after 5 minutes I had my money back.
And what about the interest? 31,718 rupees at 5% in 11 days generates 50 rupees. The amount is ridiculous, I know, but why should I lose them for their mistake? Very bad experience. Never again.
