My Family and I were travelling back to Mumbai from Hyderabad by the Flight PNR VWPQ4S at 11:05am. We reached the gates at 10:45am and we were denied boarding as the Gates were “closed” not more than 5 minutes prior to our arrival at the Gates. The Security Check-in at the Hyderabad Airport took a long while as there were long queues and very less work force. Then they were manually checking most of the bags while finding nothing in those bags and we lost a lot of time there. We tried reaching the Gates as soon as possible but the person who was boarding us in denied boarding just because we didn’t make it 5 minutes prior. The flight was still standing there for more than the next 15 minutes and we could do nothing about it as the Check-in person did not want to let us in. He rushed away from there and my family with some more passengers standing clueless of what to do next. IndiGo should be more competent for such kind of behaviour. It was not our fault and the many other passengers fault that we missed our flight we were barely late to reach the Gates. Now we have to book another flight which is 7 hours later and pay extra money because of the person denied us boarding. It was completely possible for him to let us in and the flight was standing still there. IndiGo has to be responsible for some kind of Refund / Compensation/ Remedy for its actions. Now we have to waste our time at the Hyderabad airport until the next flight comes. I need immediate response from IndiGo and an immediate Refund. It was one of the worst experiences.
