My name is Momula Suresh Varma, i have recently ported my mobile number 9972950950 from Idea postpaid to JIO. Unfortunately the place where i got it ported didn’t had postpaid facility so had to opt for JIO prepaid connection. During the port process, i have filled the form correctly with all the necessary details and along with that i have provided my Voter ID as a proof of identity.
After the number got successfully ported, i have installed My JIO App and logged into the application. I realized that my name in the application is showing as SURESH CARMARTHENSHIRE MONULA which is no way related to my name, i have filled the form correctly to reflect my name and provided the Voter Id as ID proof which clearly shows my name as SURESH VARMA MOMULA, i am not sure how could they make this blunder.
I have called the customer care couple of times to get this rectified but none of the customer care engineer were helpful, when the call got escalated they have suggested me to write an email to care@jio.com, after writing an email to Jio care, I got the response from HANIF KHAN stating that they are going to investigate the issue and get back to me. I have waited for couple of days but there was no response, so had sent a reminder email and this time i got a response from ANIKET SHETTY stating that the issue has been escalated to the relevant department and they will get back to me at the earliest. The response i received was on Mar 26th, since then i have been following up with them and even marked grievance.officer@jio.com, appellate.ap@jio.com to get some attention to this issue but all seems to be in vain, no one from JIO team seems to be taking responsibility here and the worst part is they didn’t even generate a service request number to track this case.
Irrespective of my continuous follow-ups they are not even bothered to respond to my emails, this is one of the worst and pathetic customer service i have ever come across in my 12yrs of corporate experience. This is really disgusting and makes me regret the decision of porting it to JIO network. I have been using this number for more than 8yrs and now just because of your silly mistake i cannot afford to lose the number.
I seriously need to get this addressed at utmost priority, if this cannot be rectified from your end then confirm me the same.
