Subject: Formal Complaint – Gross Negligence in Medical Diagnosis by Apollo Clinic, Newtown Kolkata
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am lodging this complaint regarding a serious medical diagnostic failure at Apollo Health Clinic, Newtown, Kolkata. The sequence of events clearly shows gross negligence, causing me financial loss, mental harassment, and wastage of time.
Details of the Issue (Point-wise):
24 October 2025 – Apollo Health Clinic (Newtown)
Ultrasound Report stated “Stone (Calculus) in Gall Bladder.”
Based on this incorrect report, the Apollo doctor advised immediate surgery within 3 months.
This created extreme mental stress and fear regarding my health.
30 October 2025 – Prime Diagnostic Clinic (Outside Apollo)
I undertook a second ultrasound to reconfirm.
Report clearly showed NO stone in the gall bladder.
This contradiction raised immediate concerns about Apollo’s diagnostic accuracy.
1 November 2025 – Re-test at Apollo (Called by Apollo Team)
Apollo repeated the ultrasound.
This time, the report again showed NO stone in the gall bladder, directly contradicting their own report from 24 Oct.
This confirms that the initial Apollo report was completely wrong and misleading.
This incident highlights a massive diagnostic error at Apollo, which:
Put my health at unnecessary risk
Caused huge mental trauma
Forced me to undergo multiple tests
Wasted my valuable time
Shook my trust in Apollo’s medical standards
Due to this severe negligence, I am demanding a compensation of ₹2,00,000 to cover:
Extra medical expenses
Loss of productive time
Mental harassment
Emotional stress caused by a false diagnosis
My Expectation
I expect an immediate written explanation, accountability of the concerned diagnostic staff, and processing of the compensation of ₹2,00,000 without delay.
This issue is not just a personal inconvenience—it reflects a dangerous lapse in diagnostic standards at Apollo which cannot be ignored.
Regards,
Sourabh Prasad
