Text of Complaint by Dinesh Shanbhag:

I had recharged my prepaid mobile 8197929127 with Rs100/- on 5-Nov 2021 when I was in Singapore but my entire recharged amount was consumed by Airtel within a day. I had written back to Airtel that there was no reason for Airtel to deduct that amount as I was not on roaming nor my roaming data was enabled nor did I make or receive any calls. Inspite of several emails the only response was that it was towards data but no explanation was given as to how data charges were levied when I was outside India without any data pack enabled. I have raised this issue of unethical charging by Airtel several times and I would now like to escalate it further to the telecom authorities.
