Everyone understands the concept of “pay and use” services. When airtel was distributing sims, they promised a “life-time free” usage. But I received an SMS today stating that if I don’t recharge, I will stop receiving INCOMING calls too.
I then called up the customer care to confirm this lunacy. They happened to admit that there was no public information provided about this policy change and is applicable to all Airtel customers.
This act by Airtel is an unfair trade practice and a clear violation of public trust and their own commitments. I demand to be compensated and strong action be taken against Airtel.
