Dear Sir/Mam,
I am an Army Officer and regular Airtel customer using Number 9805131150. I got a call on 16th Jul form Airtel customer care that if i am visiting a foreign country then i may have some offers. I denied saying i am in india only. Then Customer care representative told me that i am using IR Pack ie International Roaming Pack, on which i told him that i neither requested for the same nor visited any foreign country. Then he assured me of resolving the issue and come back to me on the same which didn’t happen.
I got my bill on 20th Jul and checked it on 21th Jul and found it to have IR Pack in that for four days on 10th, 11th, 14th and 15th Jul, Rs 499/ per day totaling to be Rs 1996/. And this was wrong and to my utter surprise. I immediately called customer care on 21st Jul and raised this issue to which i got Reference No. 31-3204837488433 and i was promised that this issue will be resolved in 4 working days which never happened.
I again called customer care on 27th Jul and asked about the details of my complaint. Then they told me that i used services from a foreign country namely Bhutan during those four days and i will have to pay the bill.
Now my issue is-
1. I never visited a foreign country that to Bhutan as they are saying.
2. I never requested for IR Pack then how come they started it on their own.
3. They are saying that i made calls on those days- its obvious that i will make calls this doesn’t mean that i asked for ir pack or i was kn foreign country and i even didn’t make any International call or any call from foreign country to india when i was here in india only.
4. During all this time i was in Hashimara, West Benal, India and Bhutan is roughly 22 Km from there.
5. If Airtel by mistake has latched my calls to some tower in Bhutan then it is their mistake not mine. When i never asked for any IR Pack on first place and never visited any foreign country then how come they can charge me for this.
6. I am not going to pay this extra money of Rs 1996 and GST on that.
7. I want this issue to be resolved and they should accept it as their mistake not mine.
8. I never visited any foreign country.
