I placed an order for my broadband connection on 11th August. Some guy called Adhinarayan came to collect my documents and while doing so completely misled me. He said that my apartment is showing 16mbps speed and showed me a speed test on his phone. He then said he will have it activated by the next day and if I run into any trouble I should contact him.
His name being – Adhinarayan. His phone number is 8861551694
I call him the next day and he repeatedly cuts my call. He then switched off his phone and blocked me.
I have also numerous times called the customer service. Every time I call they say your area has only 8 mbps speed are you okay with that. I have confirmed multiple times as i have no other choice and every time they say we will send a technician immediately.
Still nobody has come. I am unable to work as I have no internet. I have repeatedly recharged my mobile for data spending 1000 rs already because they failed to keep their promise of activating it the next day on basis of which I disconnected my previous connection.
I demand damages for –
1. Mental harassment – calling them repeatedly and being blocked.
2. Loss in monetary terms – Amount ive spent on recharging my airtel phone number for data which would have been unnecessary if I already had the broadband I paid for.
3. My right to complete information has been breached as they misled me regarding the speed.
4. Loss of time – Writing this complaint, multiple emails to airtel, calls to customer service which takes 10 mins each time to get through.
