Text of Complaint by Sharanga Doley:

I requested a new airtel sim connection twice, once 2 weeks back and another yesterday. I was assured by an airtel.executive that I will get it the next day (from.request) on both occassions. There was no follow up for my previous request and nothing happened. I kept waiting. Now thag we r to go back home amidst coronavirus, I raised the same request again for a new sim yesterday and was reassured by the same executive (do not want to share phone number in public forum) that i will get it by today. There was no call.or nothing..when I tried to contact the executive for update, she said she will get back in 2 mins after checking. There was no call back and when I called back, my call was rejected. I don’t know what is going on. This treatment of a current airtel customer is unacceptable on many fronts. Worst is that we r helpless in this situation and there are no proper channels to raise complaints on the My airtel app.

I understand that the Coronavirus situation is uncertain, however, ignoring my calls and not giving any updates is crossing the line. I am distressed and we are counting on getting a new sim by Sunday evening so that we can go back on Monday.

 

This is very urgent.
