I am currently in Oman and have recently noticed that amounts are deducted from my main balance several times and the reason for deduction is data consumption. This is shocking to me as the phone in which my airtel SIM is placed, doesn’t have mobile data feature on anytime, so a deduction for data consumption is impossible. Above all, most of the time that phone is switched off. Therefore, how come data is consumed while the phone is switched off? I have called customer care but no assistance so far. Now I am afraid of adding any amount to my main balance because of the fear that airtel would make an illegitimate deduction. I want this to be fixed. My old deductions to be refunded.
