Text of Complaint by Pedro Rahon:

I came across this company’s recruitment Ad for a part time job on Facebook that calls themelves Asien Marketing Group.
(https://asienmarketing.com/index/login/index.html). To be recruited you have to go through three (1-3) Tasks.

Tasks 1-2 will enroll you to their system. You will be guided to make random purchases that earns 20% commission so initially you need to invest at least 500 pesos so the most convenient way to pay would be to associate with your GCash or online payment. Then you would encounter some items beyond your initial investment or more expensive items so you would need to recharge or top up your current investment. After some transactions you will be told you are qualified to move on to Task 3. The person guiding you will ask you to withdraw your original money together with whatever commission you have earned performing Tasks 1-2.

For Task 3 it is a test that promises you to become a permanent employee. You will be passed on to their manager who provides you the rules and guidelines. The strictest of the rules is that you can never withdraw your money if you will not be able to complete a total of six purchases.

Initially you will be asked for an amount to start with the task that ranges from 1000 to 5,000. The first few items would be affordable. But as it progress items become more expensive and so you would be encouraged to add on to your initial investment. But once you reach task 6 it would come as a surprise if not a shock since the item is far too expensive that you would be asked to top up or recharge more than 15,000 pesos.

And the catch here is that you can only withdraw what you invested including the the commission if you finished the 6 purchases. Well for most the amount is too expensive and backing out is not an option.

Is this even legal as a job recruitment process.
