Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to bring to your attention a case of loan fraud and identity theft that I recently encountered. I received a call on my WhatsApp number from the following phone number: +91 9494013924. The individual on the call claimed to be a staff member of IDFC Bank and requested that I pay the outstanding loan EMI amount, totaling INR 44,603, for a loan I allegedly took from IDFC Bank.
Upon hearing this, I was shocked as I have never taken any loan from IDFC Bank or any other financial institution for that matter. I immediately informed the caller about this, but they insisted that I had indeed purchased a vehicle from Flipkart using an IDFC personal loan, citing a loan number as 98496016. They even shared loan details with me, which I have attached to this email for your perusal.
I want to clarify that I have never shared my OTP (One-Time Password) or any sensitive banking information with anyone. However, it appears that someone has maliciously provided my PAN details and contact information to IDFC Bank, resulting in the processing of a loan without my knowledge or consent. This incident has left me deeply concerned about the security of my personal information and the potential misuse of my identity.
In light of these circumstances, I kindly request your immediate intervention and investigation into this matter. I would like to lodge an official complaint regarding this online crime. I believe it is crucial to identify the perpetrators behind this loan fraud and take necessary actions to ensure that they are held accountable for their actions.
Please find attached the loan details provided by the caller. I trust that your cybercrime department will thoroughly examine the information and carry out a comprehensive investigation into this case. Your expertise and assistance in resolving this matter are highly appreciated.
