Text of Complaint by Subhajit Ghosh:

I am an existing Jio Fibre user (user ID – 35600536) under broadband + TV channels + OTT plan and have my plan validity till 12th February 2025. As I will be moving out of India, I was trying to relocate my subscription to a different address (which is about 350 metre away from my current address). As per relocation policy mentioned in Jio App and also communicated by Jio customer care, my current Jio Fibre connection will be disconnected, the JIO devices will be picked up and the booking amount (Rs. 1000) will be adjusted in the installation of new connection (at new address) and the remaining plan amount (equivalent to 169 days) will be paid back in the form of vouchers which can be redeemed to pay for the new Air Fibre recharge (post initial 3 months of FREE period).

The same was also conveyed by Jio representative, Mr. Vikram (not sharing his mobile number due to security reasons) who supervised the installation of the new Air Fibre connection.

However to my surprise, a day after the new connection was done, I received a call from Jio customer care stating, I will not be given any refund if I disconnect my old Jio Fibre connection now. This is falsification and forgery and comes under section 420 of IPC. I was given false commitment of reimbursement of money against disconnection of existing connection and lured to take a new Air Fibre connection with Rs. 2121. I want to raise a complaint against this falsification.

I have attached screenshot showing all the relocation policies mentioned in the Jio Site yet the customer care agent is denying the same.
