Text of Complaint by Jay Thakur:

Last year I had asked for the installation from Tikona to my rented house in Dhabadi, Pune. The agent asked me to take a plan of 6 months as they don’t have any other minimum plan for students. Also he told me that they are going to provide me free Router in the plan I agreed an asked to install the connection. But as per promise that there won’t be any problem in connection or internet speed everything went in reverse. I faced the connection problems for at least 3 months and after complaining they used to send the technician and he used to do something the problem is used to be solved for 1 or 2 days and after that the same thing used to happen. Then when my plan was over they without asking me renewed it and asked me to pay but as I was out of Pune to my home town I didn’t needed the recharge. After requesting they removed the renewal. But next month when I cam back to Pune I asked them to renew my plan also asked them to provide me discount of at least 50% bcoz of the connection problem I had faced. They offered me 20% discount which I refused as it was too low. Than again after sometime my planned got over they again without informing me and asking me renewed my plan. They forcefully asked me to pay then I refused as I already stopped using their connection before the plan was ended. After that I raised my complain with Indian Government’s Consumer Forum than I stopped receiving mails from them. But today on 31st July, 2020 I received a mail from Tikona saying they have settled the amount and asked me to return the Modem which their agent is free and the amount of it is included in the initial plan. If I failed to return that I will need to pay 1500 INR to them. My concern is the words given by agent to me and the compensation for 3 months of improper service they promised me was not given to me. Help me to get what is rightly mine. Most important I have left that place where I leaved as tenant in Pune bcoz I wasn’t able to pay rent and my studies were over. My connection no – 1124630790
