Electric meter reading of 3 months is combined and charged for 1572 units, thus kicking in the highest slab rates for per unit consumption. This assumes that entire electric consumption of 3 months happened in one single month. The previous bill payed was at 7.43/unit and now charged at 11.71/unit, a difference of Rs 6728 for a declared bill of 1572 units and Service Tax of 16% on the same amount increased this to Rs 7804 in total. This is miscalculation and cheating and fraud on the common man of the highest order.
