I had written to Adani Electricity on 16 Dec 2018 regarding obnoxiously high bills from Adani Electricity during the last 3 – 4 months. Adani Electricity replied back with an excuse that there has been 3.2% increase in current month’s unit over previous month and 6.07% increase in current month’s unit over past 12 months average.
I have substantial data and on the basis of which have written to Adani Electricity, as explained below:
For 7-month period (i.e. between Jan ’18 to Jul ’18) when services were rendered by Reliance, average monthly billing was INR 1,804/- and that between Aug ’18 and Nov ’18 was INR 2,366/-, i.e. 31% increase
Further, maximum bill during the above 7-month period was INR 2,126/- while that for the bill generated by Adani in Oct ’18 was INR 2,764/- , again around 30% increase.
The bills are not justified and I seek support from Consumer Forum since Adani Electricity is just shrugging off its responsibility and not willing to refund the excess amount that has been billed over the last 3 to 4 months.
