I am filing this complaint to report a case of misrepresentation, financial fraud, and negligence by HeyCoach, an online ed-tech platform.
On 12th July 2025 6:19pm, I was contacted by a representative from HeyCoach who convinced me to join one of their courses that promised job placement support in major companies. During a Google Meet call, I gave my verbal consent to join the course, and I was asked to provide my PAN card (last 4 digits) and a mobile OTP under the claim that this was required for completing the course admission process.
However, immediately after the call, I started feeling suspicious about the process, especially because:
The call was abruptly disconnected after the OTP was given.
No admission ID or official confirmation was ever generated or shared with me.
There was no onboarding, no follow-up, and no clear course enrollment communication.
I made several attempts to reach out to them via phone and email. However:
Phone calls were not answered at all.
Email responses were vague, unprofessional, and non-committal, offering no proper support or resolution.
Realizing this could be a fraudulent setup, I immediately raised a request to cancel the loan that was processed in my name. This request was made on 14th July, which was well within the loan’s 3-day cool-off period (considering 13th July was a Sunday).
Despite this, the HeyCoach team refused to cancel the loan, citing a rigid “no refund policy,” even though no actual admission was confirmed or initiated. This is unethical, and I believe it constitutes deliberate deception and misuse of my financial information.
Upon further investigation, I discovered that at least 30 other students have reported similar experiences. Many of them were misled by exaggerated promises of placement and were forced into EMI loans without proper consent or delivery of services. This strongly indicates a pattern of scam-like behavior by the organization.
Due to this incident, I am under unwanted financial liability and emotional stress.
I am requesting the following through this complaint:
Immediate investigation and cancellation of the loan fraudulently processed in my name.
A complete refund of any amount debited or disbursed.
Consumer action against HeyCoach for their fraudulent, deceptive, unfair trade polices and unresponsive behavior.
I hope ConsumerComplaintsCourt will help ensure justice and prevent others from falling victim to the same.

I’m facing a very similar experience with HeyCoach. I was assured during the call that a refund would be possible, when the representative explained me the EMI amount and intrest i started having second thoughts about proceeding with payment which gave me the confidence to proceed. However, when I requested cancellation the very next day, they completely ignored my emails and denied any refund later, citing policies they never shared upfront. Despite not attending a single class and reaching out immediately, they disbursed a loan in my name without proper onboarding. It’s been extremely stressful and disappointing. I hope more of us speak up so others are warned in advance.
