I never made any transaction of 10280 on my credit card on 29th May 2021 but since I was too occupied treating covid patients in second wave of Corona I figured this in my bill much later.
Not only that, there is an OTP on my mobile which I am surprised to notice as I am sure I have not made any such transactions and still the hackers could utilise my card and otp to validate this transaction
It also appears that HDFC credit card team is not bothered to investigate this matter when I raised dispute because they are giving lame excuses that they are unable to contact me on my mobile number. Whereas I am 24×7 available. I have them other numbers to contact me or provide me an address to visit them at their office bit these requests have fallen in dead ears.
There are so many complaints of fraud online for same merchant and this callousness of HDFC employees makes me justifiably suspicious of their involvement to dupe the customers of their confidential data and pass it to some hackers for a commission.
Our beloved PM wants India to go cashless and digital… but with these frauds it just makes us apprehensive and loose faith in Indian Banking Sectors
