I am writing to formally lodge a complaint before the Honorable Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission against a loan application and lending company named LoanPey operating under Goodskill Securities and Services Ltd for deficiency in service unfair trade practices misuse of my personal data harassment and unlawful recovery practices.
I had availed a personal loan from the said company due to financial hardship. Despite informing the NBFC about my temporary inability to repay the loan and seeking reasonable time the company and its representatives adopted unethical illegal and threatening recovery practices instead of following fair and lawful recovery procedures.
The company misused and disclosed my personal and professional information without my consent. It directly contacted and emailed my employer using the official company email ID and disclosed my personal loan details causing severe mental distress reputational damage embarrassment and fear of adverse consequences at my workplace. At no point did I provide consent for contacting my employer or for sharing my personal information with any third party.
Such actions amount to harassment breach of privacy deficiency in service and unfair trade practices in violation of the Consumer Protection Act 2019 RBI Digital Lending Guidelines and the Information Technology Act 2000. The continuous harassment and coercive recovery methods have caused extreme anxiety emotional trauma and deterioration of my mental well-being.
I respectfully request the Honorable Commission to take cognizance of this complaint and direct LoanPey and Goodskill Securities and Services Ltd to immediately cease all forms of harassment and third party contact including communication with my employer to investigate and hold the company accountable for misuse of my personal data to restrain the company from adopting unlawful recovery practices in the future and to award appropriate compensation for mental agony harassment and reputational harm caused to me along with any other relief deemed fit in the interest of justice.
