Hi,

I am an Airtel prepaid customer. I am currently not in India. I faced issues with my sim in Dec 2020, when I lost all signals, I contacted customer support via phone, facebook and twitter. They first said everything seems and I just need to maintain minimum balance, which I did and still the number was not working.So they said the sim might be corrupt and I need to get a duplicate sim issued by sending a family member to the nearest airtel store.

My sister in law went to the Himayathnagar store and submitted all details and attachments were asked in a hard copy. I told them I have all that in mail, but the executive insisted that I give all hard copies. When she went the next day with all the printed documents on 23rd Jan 2021, the executive asked to share the soft copies as well. All said and done, they said the time for this to be done is a minimum 7days. so she went next Saturday, to hear that the print out of the adhaar card does not have a clear picture of the customer’s eyes and hence the application is rejected. She asked them to check the attachment in mail that has a clear picture and approve the request.

After that they said they will get approval in 4-5 days, and since then she has been visiting the store/ calling up Sai Kiran airtel executive on his no 7989477752, to hear that the manager is on leave or the executive is on leave and that they will call me back. The executive says the manager knows the status and manager says that the executive knows the status.
This is for a simple issue of a SIm Card where all documents are correctly submitted. I am not in India so she is going to the store on my behalf. I need the number as all my Indian banking is linked to that number. I am facing so much issue. Utterly disappointed with the service at AIRTEL. need to be answerable to us customers before making tall claims about being best in the Industry.
Lets see how fast this will be resolved now. or your team will prove that this store is not the only inefficient one. I would please request you to look into this and help me get a duplicate sim.
