Me and my wife booked bistar hostel bhopal(54, Shyamla Hills Rd, near Bharat Bhavan, Krishna Nagar, Shymala Hills, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh 462002) via agoda site and confirmed booking details were received via email.When we reached there on 15 Feb at 1 .00 PM to help us in getting the exact location they told that there is no room available I told them I have confirmed booking then they told that the booking has been cancelled and they tried to call us but number was not reachable,I asked them on what number they try to call they were not able to tell the number.They started making excuse that covid test is mandatory and they have mentioned it in booking detail but it was not mentioned anywhere,they told that they are not listed in agoda but I am having booking detais through agoda so how they can tell that they are not listed.

Harassment done here is that they didn’t allow us to stay in there property while having proper booking,I am attaching proofs of booking details of bistar hostel.At the same time I am having booking details of the hotel in which I am staying because bistar hostel didn’t allowed to stay.

  1. Agoda is a third party website. Agoda doesn’t uphold listing but rather is a sub net for cheaper prices. They take listings from websites such as MakeMyTrip, Booking.com and such travel websites and uses it as a sub domain. If a booking is made, you shall get mails from 3 websites, Agoda, Booking.com and The Software used by the property. Honestly, I see no harassment as such. Just a misjudgement and illiteracy from your end.

  2. This is just purely stupid. Agoda provides a free cancellation booking and I’m sure that you haven’t paid. A property also has right of admission, specially in times of COVID-19 where test reports aren’t a joke and surely enough you would be smart to understand that the pandemic is still going on. It’s always sad to see educated People behaving worse than uneducated individuals.
