Sir,
On 25/11/2022 I went for SIM card replacement in a “Jio Store” (Store details : S Dag No 249 R S Khatian No 772 JL No, Bhangar
Reliance Retail Limited : R Mouza Gobindapur, Bhangar Raghunathpur, District South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, Pincode – 743502). I am a government school teacher by profession. The I reached at the store at 3 pm. The store boy was not present but an another guy was there who followed his guidline. The present boy called the store boy by phone,but he asked me to wait for 1.5 hours otherwise I may come the next day. I didn’t know the reason behind but the present boy replied the store boy gone for lunch. I was told to wait outside the store. Some other customers also were there. I came to know from them,they were waiting for 3 hours for the store guy who gone for lunch. After some time the store boy came after having lunch (I didn’t know what actually happened) but again he went for having tea. Finally the guy came at 4 pm. When I asked him for SIM replacement but asked me for FIR copy from local police station.I was surprised as Jio customer care told me not need any FIR copy. I request him again and again and remind him what the customer care told. But he didn’t care of me and only he replied that Jio customer care guidline does not matter to him, as his owner told him to recieve FIR copy. After 5-6 minutes of debate he asked me for my fingerprint on his machine and my profile opened. He asked me to show my photo Id. I showed my aadhaar card where my photo and my address were clearly showing. Again the store boy told that my aadhaar card is a colour Xerox of my original aadhar card. I was surprised again. I couldn’t understand how can a store boy behave like that. He refused me to issue my SIM card. Forcefully I came outside and buy a new SIM card from a retailer SIM card shop. As a government school teacher time was then very much valuable. Next day I went to another ‘jio store’ located in Chandaneshwar, South 24 parganas. There were not any kind of issues. My one SIM card was issued and requested me come the next day again for another SIM card as the KYC was not possible for two sim cards in a same day.
I really was harassed by the store boy. His behaviours were unexpected. I therefore request you to take a strong action against store boy and the management.
