Dear Mr Vamsidhar Reddy

I regret the complete lack of customer sensitivity on the part of the Airtel team and the Appellate Authority which seems to be bias/ prejudiced and acting in a manner inimical to customer interests. Your attention is once again invited to my mail dated 15.10.2018 and our telecon a few minutes back. You have not cared to respond to my grievances. You and your Airtel team have despite requests not mailed me the data card statements and have simply washed away your responsibility to provide me the information sought. Without addressing my problem you have marked a closure which I vehemently protest. It is amusing and laughable when you say that there is no request by me to disconnect the data card number 8527178918.

Please email me the data card statement number 8527178918 since the date I have taken the connection. This may be 18 months or so. The fraud is writ large on the face of it as despite numerous requests you guys are not prepared to share these bills and close the data card. Your saying that there is no usage on the card and no request from me to disconnect the card is ridiculous.

As informed now on numerous occasions, at the time when I was given the data card I had told the agent/representative of Airtel that I want that the data card be clubbed with the main postpaid connection no but even after six months into request the same was not done. Finally when your Airtel team disconnected the 3G connection on postpaid connection 9810672626 some time in Oct,2017 on the ground that the data card payment for the month was not made. I told them to activate the 3G connection as I was travelling and I wanted to send some urgent mails but the plea fell on deaf ears. So it was in Oct, 2017 for the first time that the request for disconnection of data card number 8527178918 was made.

Second time the request was made when I applied for NOC to port out to Vodafone on 30-11-2017. You may verify your call records. Infact the genesis of porting out happens to be the data card number 8527178918.

Third time, it was informed when I came to know of the illegal payments being withdrawn from my AMEX card by Airtel without authority as I had already requested for disconnection on 30.11.2017 and have not used your card since then. After I sent the mail on 28.4.2018, I received calls from your Appellate Authority and I informed them of the porting out and disconnection of data card. I immediately flagged this issue with Mr. Ashish Banerjee, Floor Supervisor-Airtel, but instead of giving refund, illegally withdrawn by Airtel, he had asked me to deposit another month amount of Rs. 1,178.82.  Besides, as per him charges for three months only can be reversed.  Be it noted that Airtel has raised the following bills on my credit card in the following months, photocopies of the bills are  attached herewith:

i.        23rd December 2017    Rs. 1,833.96

ii.        23rd January 2018       Rs. 1,245.88

Iii.        23rd February 2018      Rs. 1,178.82

iv.        23rd March 2018          Rs. 1,178.82

Therefore, total of Rs. 5,437.48 had been illegally withdrawn by the Airtel, without taking consent of the user which I have a right to recover since no data was used during this time and your AIRTEL was informed of the disconnection of card.. In between your agents kept harassing with their phone calls for pending data card payment and they were given the same answer on umpteen occasion.

Needless to mention that If you don’t close this so called data card payment issue and continue to harass an innocent erstwhile customer just because I have ported out to Vodafone, I shall be constrained to report the matter to TRAI, consumer forum, media and social sites informing the public at large of your misdemenour.

Dear Gurvinder Sahi,

Greetings from Airtel!

This is in reference to your email on charges levied towards your Airtel Data card number 8527178918.

As discussed on 9810672626, I apologize for the inconvenience.

I have gone through our records noted that there is no cancellation request available for your number 8527178918.

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Delighted to assist you.

Hi

Please refer to the mail below received on 5/6/2018. At this stage also I had informed you that I am not using your data card and the same had been surrendered and deactivated at the time of porting out. It was requested that the amount withdrawn illegally/without authorisation from my Credit card be refunded as I had not used your date card. Your office at that time asked me to deposit another Rs 1500/- so that they can consider my case compassionately. Upon my refusal, the amount overdrawn was not refunded. Now after 4 months your agents are again calling and asking money for a date card which I have not used. I now call upon you to please send me

A. The usage on the so called data card. When did I last use the card?

B. Is it that a customer has to give on an affidavit that he has discontinued your credit card. I had at the time of porting out(I ported out because I was dissatisfied with your services) informed you guyz to decactivate. I had again on the second occasion (see mails below) when I spoke to your officers for refund told about the deactivation.

I am at a loss to understand how you want the request. It is a pure case of harassment of a customer, illegally having withdrawn money from my card for having not used your data card.

Regards
