Subject: Complaint for Deficiency in Service, Mental Harassment, and Unjustified Delay in Mobile Number Change Request

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Manoj Singh Virdi , would like to submit this complaint against Airtel Payment bank for deficiency in service, mental harassment, and unreasonable delay in processing my request for change of registered mobile number.

1. Background of the Complaint

I have been requesting a change of my registered mobile number for the last six (6) months. Despite repeated follow-ups through emails and visits, the request has not been processed till date.

2. Compliance from My Side

I have fully complied with all requirements raised by the opposite party. Specifically:

I am using only one mobile number for both personal and official purposes.

The said number has been officially issued by my employer.

The same mobile number is already updated in my Aadhaar history, which is a valid and legally recognized proof of identity.

I have submitted all documents requested, multiple times, as demanded by the opposite party.

3. Deficiency in Service & Harassment

Despite full compliance:

The opposite party is repeatedly asking for irrelevant and already-submitted details.

No valid reason has been provided for the six-month delay.

Other banks and institutions have successfully updated my mobile number using the same documents.

The repeated demands and inaction have caused me continuous mental stress, inconvenience, and harassment.

This behavior clearly amounts to deficiency in service under the Consumer Protection Act and reflects negligence and unfair trade practice.

4. Cause of Action

The cause of action is continuous and ongoing, as the opposite party has failed to resolve the issue even after repeated reminders and full compliance.

5. Relief Sought

I humbly request the Hon’ble Commission to:

Direct the opposite party to immediately update my registered mobile number.

Award compensation for mental harassment and inconvenience caused due to prolonged delay and negligence.

Direct the opposite party to bear the cost of litigation.

Pass any other order deemed fit in the interest of justice.

6. Declaration

I declare that the facts stated above are true and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief.

Thanking You.

Yours faithfully,
Manoj Singh Virdi
