Text of Complaint by Swaathi R:

I have tried to disconnect my airtel postpaid service several times by going into the airtel store near me and also have tried disconnection of service on the airtel app. Both streams resulted in failure to disconnect service. Now I get calls from very rude and unprofessional employees of Airtel while I am at work demanding I pay the bill for services I have not used. I explained my position calmly and said I am willing to pay the bill for services I have used and that I cannot keep running to their stores every time for negligence on their part. I refuse to pay anything more than the last bill amount of the services I have used resulting in more inappropriate behavior from Airtel employees. They hang up on me when I ask questions and call back just to harass and do not give me a proper response to my queries. They are demanding more money to disconnect my service and refuse to do so otherwise. If they are capable of disconnecting my service over the call, then why was i refused disconnection of services on their app and required to go into the store several times to no avail? I am not their dog to order around and will not stand for this behavior. I request for action to be taken against these ill-mannered employees and for Airtel to train their staff to handle customers in a polite, well mannered fashion. They hang up and don’t answer when I call back, but continue to call me at random hours n demand I pay their illegitimate bill charges.
