I had taken a loan from Moneybox (Credit Gate Private Limited) on 13/11/2020 and my repayment date was on 20th November. On the 20th from morning itself i started getting texts on my WhatsApp asking to repay my loan. I texted back stating i will pay today itself by 6PM. I was quite aware that the due date was today and i had to repay. However i stated getting WhatsApp texts from a different number asking to pay immediately. I again texted back stating I am still within the due date and will make the payment by 6PM. That person just kept pressuring me to make the payment by 1PM. I again said will make it by 6PM on the same day. Then i got a call around 1PM asking about the money. I told will make it by 6PM, then the guy on the other end started abusing like anything and started threatening me by saying he will start calling all my contacts one by one. Later after the call he sent me texts on WhatsApp will all my contacts phone numbers and said he will start dialing those one by one now. This is absolutely unacceptable. How can you force someone to pay within the due date. The story doesn’t end here.
Initially when i took the loan (on mobile app) i was shown the approved amount as Rs 7000 and later only Rs 4995 was credited to my bank account, remaining amount was deducted as a part of processing fees and GST. But i was asked to pay Rs 7500. From which angle it seems to be fair. There was no hint given prior that so less amount was getting transferred to my bank account and I had to repay such a huge amount. Otherwise I wouldn’t have opted for this crap. Please review and decide. Please ensure this being actioned and not made public.
