Subject: Formal Complaint Against OK Peso Online Loan App for Harassment and Violation of Data Privacy Rights

Dear Sir/Madam,

I respectfully submit this formal complaint against OK Peso Online Loan App, a digital lending platform operating in the Philippines, for harassment, unethical collection practices, and unauthorized disclosure of my personal information, in violation of my rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (R.A. 10173) and relevant consumer protection laws.

Nature of the Complaint:
Due to a late payment on my loan with OK Peso, I have experienced the following unacceptable actions from the company or its collection agents:

Repeated harassment through calls and threatening messages, sent multiple times a day to my personal number.

Unauthorized access and disclosure of my contact list — OK Peso contacted my relatives, friends, and professional contacts, even though I did not authorize or list them as references.

Defamation and public shaming — The agents sent misleading and alarming messages to my contacts, falsely labeling me as a scammer or criminal.

Psychological and reputational harm — These actions have caused me extreme anxiety, embarrassment, and emotional distress.

I firmly believe that OK Peso’s actions constitute a serious invasion of privacy, and their collection practices are abusive, unethical, and unlawful under existing laws and regulations.

Relief Sought:
In view of the foregoing, I respectfully request the following:

That OK Peso be investigated for violating data privacy and fair debt collection practices.

That the company be required to cease all forms of harassment and third-party communications regarding my account.

That my personal data and contacts be permanently deleted from their system, unless legally justified.

That appropriate sanctions and penalties be imposed in accordance with the law.

That I receive a formal written apology from OK Peso.

Attached to this letter are screenshots of messages, call logs, and other evidence supporting my claims.

I trust that your good office will give this complaint due consideration and act to protect consumers and uphold data privacy and dignity.
