Text of Complaint by Syed Sadakath:

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Happyfares, a flight booking agency, for their mishandling and unprofessional behavior in addressing my concern regarding an infant’s ticket booking.

On [Date], I booked a flight from Bangalore to Mumbai through Happyfares for myself, along with an infant. Unfortunately, I missed adding the infant’s details during the booking process. As per their stated procedure, I promptly provided the required infant’s details and a valid government ID proof, which in this case was the birth certificate.

While communicating via email to rectify the situation, I made an inadvertent typo error in the infant’s name, leading to a mismatch between the name on the birth certificate and the details provided in the email. However, without properly validating the information, Happyfares processed the request to Air India to add the infant’s details to the ticket.

Upon realizing the mistake, I immediately contacted Happyfares’ customer support to rectify the issue. However, I was met with an unprofessional and rude response from their representative. The customer support representative made inappropriate comments, stating, “I have my work, and do you want me to pay for your child?” This kind of behavior is not only disrespectful but also completely disheartening for a customer seeking assistance.

I find it alarming that a company like Happyfares, which claims to provide reliable and professional services, has mishandled a simple request and exhibited such unprofessional conduct by their customer support team.

I kindly request your intervention to address this matter promptly. I urge you to take appropriate action against Happyfares for their negligence in adhering to standard procedures and for their disrespectful behavior towards a customer seeking assistance.
