After I updated the software on Vivo X70 multiple green lines started appearing on it. We tried to contact the customer care and also visited gallery for the repair. They are charging Rs.13,000/- for repair stating that in order to repair the green lines caused due to software they also need to repair the physical damage (which is just few scratches on the phone as I have been using it already since 3 years now). There are no major physical damage and phone was running absolutely fine until I updated to that software. If this problem was due to software update it would have been only for me but there are many people who have been facing similar issues in many android devices.
It is a matter of concern that a company like Vivo is frauding its customers by firstly introducing such defaulting software and then extorting money by asking customers to pay for repairs.
On top of that, they are providing warranty also only for 3 months. Inspite, of paying ₹50,000/- during purchase and then further paying ₹13,000/- for repair of the issue caused by the company themselves we only get a warranty on that repair for just 3 months. Its absolutely ridiculous and a clear fraud.
I request the company to take necessary action immediately. Such issues also happened with one+ phone users but the company replaced such devices and gave voucher worth ₹30,000/- redeemable against any other One+ device.
