Bought X60 in August 2021 and since then it has been performing flawlessly. But all of a sudden a green line appeared on the display after a system update.
After twitting this issue, Vivo India team requested me to visit Service Center. As per their suggestion I visited to Chowringhee Kolkata Service Center,3 Flr Anar Chamber BN Sarkar Sarani Chowringhee Ab. Canara Bank Nr Hotel Majestic Kolkata WB 700072.
One technician ,whose Id is 7348, checked my phone and informed this issue can be fixed only on chargeable basis.
Technician told since I have a dent at the plastic panel, the resolution will be on chargeable. I told him that it got dent after 10 months of purchase ,but the line appeared last month.Inspite of knowing that the issue was caused by a software glitch and many users reported the same across PAN India, still they are refusing to fix it for free.
They said company is replacing display only on the phones with no physical damage and liquid spillage.
It is really very disappointing and not acceptable at all. why should I pay 9K to fix an issue which occurred due a software bug? is this how Vivo fixes issues? I do not expect any fix on my dent part but the issue which occurred due to update.
