I was in a financial crisis when a junior approached me with an offer of a “monthly chit,” promising that if we paid two installments, he could get the full amount within two days. Desperate for help, I gave him around 10,000 rupees, only to later discover that he had cheated me. I filed a complaint with the cybercrime department, and after his mother apologized and he returned the money, I made additional commitments that caused me further financial stress. Recently, he approached me again, apologizing for his past behavior and claiming that he was making good money through online gambling. He asked me to invest 2,000 rupees with him, promising a big profit and showing me screenshots of recent transactions worth lakhs. Despite knowing that gambling was illegal, I decided to take the risk due to my medical issues. I created an account on the gambling site and gave him my login details. Unfortunately, he made a loss and has not been responding to my messages for the past two weeks. Although I accept responsibility for opening an account on a gambling site, I am willing to cooperate and provide all necessary documentation, including medical records, chat logs, game screenshots, and call recordings, to help bring this scammer to justice. I hope action will be taken against him and other such individuals who prey on vulnerable people, causing them financial harm.
