Hi All,
I am from Kolkata and thought of sharing my pathetic experience with all. I am still suffering! I have a VW Vento TDI, it was in fantastic condition. I thought of having a comprehensive service done through GoMechanic. During service I was advice to do so many things and without asking a single question I agreed for all of them. I paid more than 46,000/-! I took the delivery of my car and completed a trip of 800 KM and realized celing lights are no more functional! After another 100 KM the car started showing warning lights! I immediately called the workshop and they asked me to come down with the car!
After initial inspection, repair I have been told the car is now fine. I took the test drive and found unusual sound in engine, power loss, and extremely low pickup! I reported back the same and after few days came for the test drive after getting confirmation from the workshop. Unfortunately, during test drive my experience was same as earlier! Same issues with NO CHANGE. After reporting back, the same issue, they called me after few days and assured the car is fine now! While taking delivery I found the left side mirror is in broken condition! Finally, after spending few hours the mirror was repaired in my presence in a different workshop! This time I paid INR 24,000/- for overall repair.
While coming back home within 10 KM the car started giving warning signals! I reported back the same and they asked to take the car in workshop. After few days they confirmed the car is repaired now and while taking delivery I found back gear sensor is not functional! (It was functional before handing over the car to workshop). They told I can take the car back any day and they will fix it.
Next day the car again started giving warning signal while driving on highway followed by exact same behavior (Unusual sound in engine, engine knocking, power loss, and extremely low pickup)! The condition turned worse, and the car almost refused to run. I had to suffer in middle of a highway! luckily, I was nearby of a relative’s pace and after extreme struggle somehow managed to take the car to a nearby parking lot.
The car was picked up after N number of follow up calls! I called customer care 6/7 times today and every time I was told the escalation manager will call me in next 30 minutes. No luck so far!!! It’s a brand issue with all soft of management issues.
