I hired Go Mechanic because I was having a problem with self starter, and they took my car to Paschim Vihar – Insta Car Care Workshop @w8, which is close to Sai Baba Temple. They gave me an estimate that was exorbitant triple what was being charged in the market—and I asked them to drop my car back as is. Surprisingly, the car self starter was in perfect operating order when it was delivered to my house from the go-mechanic shop. And when I took my car out for a test drive, I was astounded to hear an extreme amount of engine noise. I then parked it back to check, and I saw an extreme amount of smoke coming from the engine that appeared to be burning wiring. I immediately called the shop owner, Kulwinder Singh, and I expressed my concern to him. Instead of taking any action to assist me, he dismissed it and said he would send someone the next morning. After calling Kulwinder several times and getting no response next morning till 12 o’clock, I raised the matter to Saurabh Yadav, who asked Kulwinder to contact me. However, even after hours of waiting, two mechanics reached out and after they opened engine they mentioned the battery had fallen down, and self is getting direct on and off. Even after they realised the entire self, including the shaft, switch, and all other pieces, was completely burned due to wiring default at workshop.
I took the car to a reputable service centre close to Tilak Nagar and asked him to thoroughly inspect the self and determine what was wrong. He then demonstrated to me that go-mechanics had messed up the wiring, which resulted in the self circuit completely burning, and that this was the cause of the extreme smoke coming from the engine last night. To my astonishment, when I brought up this issue with the owner of the relevant workshop, Kulwinder, he not only misbehaved but also blatantly stated “ madam jo karna hai app ko karlo, mai kisi se Nhi Darta Humara koi Kuch Nhi bigaad sakta, hum Nhi le the koi responsibility” and disconnected my call.”
I spent 4,000 rupees to have “Friends Motor Works” replace the burned-out self starter with a new one.
For proof, I’ve included a picture of a burned self-starter and a bill from a reputable dealer.
I escalated this to their escalation department, and to my surprise they closed my ticket, blocked my number and account without any resolution.
Self starter was in a repairable condition , and their technician Rahul confirmed to me, and also shared that Kulwinder has asked to ignore your calls as wiring was incorrectly done at workshop that lead to self starter burned completely.
I am just looking for refund and reimbursement of my bill I paid due to their negligence
