I with my wife visited Lonavala on 12/08/2023. When we were enjoying the scenery at one of the point, we were approached by one guy in his twenties named Sagar (may be fake) claiming that he is student of hotel management and doing promotion for a company as an internship. Their modus operandi is that they target couple visiting Lonavala and khandala. They will show that your lady partner is lucky one for you and she has won the gift card and it is to be scratched in front of Go life vacation people. We were held up in the name of presentation for almost 2.5 hours at Hotel Royal Park, Lonavala which they have rented for presentation and fooling the unsuspecting people. By gods grace my card could not be swapped as they do not have Amex card machine. When i showed them about their online review and i decided not to go for it, they immediately wrapped the presentation. When we came out of the room, they offer to scratch the card and as expected it was vacation voucher which says that you have to pay 3999/ plus gst and you can not redeem the voucher on holiday, weekends etc.
Their start to end was seemed very much fabricated. They do not encourage online membership which keep me suspecting throughout. It seems that they rent the hall of other hotel for few days and fool the people.
After few Kms away I met another guy who was giving the gift card of other company. It seems that this cheating business are thriving at lonavala and other company similar to Golife, are also active.
Please be aware and keep away from them. Online review has saved me. I encourage other people who are cheated or approached by these people to share their experiences online so that other people can be saved.
