On 5th March 2021, I attempted to make one payment of Rs. 3300.00, to a merchant named “Pioneer Associates” of Kolkata. The first attempt failed and the second attempt was successful. However I noticed that the amount was debited twice from my account and the failed transaction was not credited back to my Account till date.
I made a complaint to Google pay, giving the Screen shot of transaction details; where it is clearly showing that one of the transaction made during 5th March 2021 is a failed transaction. I also submitted a bank statement showing that the amount was deducted from my account.
However rather than solving the problem google pay has now changed the transaction status from “failed” to “Successful”. Now the google pay is also advising me to contact the Bank and the receiver the Merchant for refund the money.
The loss which I have incurred is due to the platform provided by the Google pay and Google pay should compensate that. Rather than solving the problem they have simply changed the transaction status in the system, in an attempt to show that this was a successful transaction.
I pray to the consumer court for fast solution and issue a direction to the Google pay for solving the problem and a compensation against the time and effort I spent for making complaint for last one months or more.
