I am graduate student who was in search of a job. I joined Quikr and a company named SEMION TECHNOLOGIES contacted me. They told me about their data entry job and asked me to fill 350 forms in 5 days with 90% accuracy. Unfortunately, my grandfather became ill and I could complete only 200 forms. I tried to inform the company but none answered. When I contacted them today, they said it was not the company’s fault and it should’ve informed immediately. When I asked them to pay for the work I did, they didn’t agree. Later in the evening a call from a lawyer from Advocate Association came. He said that the company forwarded the case to the legal team and that he is giving me 10 minutes to pay 9000 rupees. The company have me no notification regarding this and I was unaware about the issue. Then the lawyer said if I’m not able to pay the money, he would take things to court and i would’ve to pay 200000 rupees. On top of that, he threatened me by saying that he would issue a police investigation and would put my father in jail. I couldn’t bear all this. I tried to check the details of the company and the firm by their respective addresses. I couldn’t find them in Maps. They were also not in any social media platforms. What should I do? Will my father be sent to prison? What other consequences will i have to face?

I just got a work in semion technologies and now they are saying that my accuracy is not 90% and I have to pay the amount in 5 min . I just know that they will sent a case file against my father and put him in jail. What should I do now

No , I didn’t pay and my lawyer said to me that just block them, it’s a fraud.

Hey! Same case happened with me.
I even emailed them on the very same day but they are saying that you have to pay registration fee or otherwise they will put my father in jail and after 7days they will release him when we pay them 2lacs.
I also received a notice of 200000 in my email. I don’t know what to do. But my lawyer said that it is a fraud.
