I was cheated on a IVR call. On 14 Oct 2023, at 9:58am I received a IVR call from phone number 9176787671 saying that someone has made a transaction of Rs.5000/- from my Simpl pay account and to stop the payment please enter the code received on the sms. I received the sms immediately from Simpl pay at 9:59am and unknowingly I entered the received OTP on IVR call. The IVR call got disconnected. At 10:01am I received another sms that Rs.4746/- on Blinkit charged via Simpl pay. I then recognised this a fraud transaction and immediately I raised an issue on Simpl pay app at 10:05 am saying this is a fraud transaction.
Also I raised a cyber crime complaint on same day 10 Oct 2023 with acknowledgment no. 33710230039081 and complaint no.CYB/MPUR_CYB/141023/02454.
However since then Simpl pay is working on this issue and not providing any resolution, inturn they are calling me everyday and asking me to pay the amount of Rs.4746/- and if not paid I will be liable for legal action.
