It happened to search for online work from home jobs online and came in contact with a couple of representatives on Wats App from The Resume Search Company on 10th March. Before even I could understand the work progress, they asked me for my Aadhar card details and made me sign an agreement. When I told them I will open the link on my laptop, they said the link would open only on the phone and then digital sign the document. The signature was only first three initials. I even inquired that I can view the link on the laptop but they said that it will not work on laptop unless the link is opened from the phone. Individual named Tarun, I told him that I would like to see a trial of the resume but he said that first he would create the ID and documentation and then I could start work from the next day which is 11th March
Within 10 minutes my ID was created and forms were sent to me and asked me to start working. I told them they said next day so I will start working from next day.
In the mean time, I browsed the website to see reviews about this company and was shocked that they have scammed many people. I called them back and told them about the reviews on which they said that their competitive companies have put up such reviews. They convinced me to start the work. They gave me 600 resumes to upload in 7 days.
While I started doing a trial version, I realized that a lot of manual task was involved which was not mentioned in the job description. Upon asking them again they did not have clarity and asked me to speak to customer service people. I called back and immediately informed that I will not continue with the work because it is not what was mentioned to me at the time of the call and I also informed them that since the agreement starts from 11th March, I am informing them on 10th March, that I will not provide any services to them. Upon which they started demanding 6500 charges. They follwed up on 17th March, asking if I had completed the work and I told them that I had informed that I will not work cuz their company is fraudlent, they started demanding Rs 6500 for the portal charges and when I disagreed they are threatening to send legal notice and court will charge approx. Rs 30000. They have been sending me wats app recordings stating to make payments. They are purely fraud and threatening vulnerable people and making money.
This company is completely fraudulent and they are threatening people about legal charges and making money. I have immediately checked their reviews and many people have faced the same issues.
Kindly request you to look into this matter and shut this company down as they are cheating with many people during this pandemic times when people are in search of jobs, this company is taking undue advantage of people
