Dear Sir/Ma’am,
I have an Airtel postpaid mobile for number 9972365827. My regular bill is Rs. 353 per month including tax but bill for current cycle (11 Mar 2019 – 10 Apr 2019, bill number FM2029I000864009) is INR 3056/=. I had been out of country from Mar 28-Apr 1 and have been charged this extra amount without my consent. I had not opted for international roaming on my mobile and since data was enabled, phone and few app would have used data without my knowledge. When I noticed data enabled and being used within an hour of landing, I disabled data. Still Airtel has charged INR 2709/= (649 each for 2 days and 499 each for 2 days + taxes) as some pack without my consent. They claim to have sent SMS which I have not read as it went to my spam folder on phone. In this day and age when free WiFi is available almost everywhere, this huge amount for tiny amount of data is atrocious and without user consent, it’s blatant cheating. When I called their customer care, they kept wasting my time for 20 minutes and then asked to wait for another 15 minutes online so I can talk to some senior supervisor. CC rep refused to call back to discuss the matter when supervisor was free, a tactic used to frustrate so that I disconnect.
As a consumer, I feel cheated by a big conglomerate and therefore request you to help me waive off these charges. Please let me know if any further info is required.
